Mays’ HR helps Giants tie the Dodgers 9/30/62

OTD in 1962, Willie Mays hit a home run to give the Giants a win over the Colts. Coupled with a Dodgers loss, the teams finished in a tie for the NL pennant. The Giants won the ensuing three-game playoff before they lost to the Yankees in the World Series. 😦
